Mad Hatter Tea Party

YIPEE!

I am so excited to be joining the
'Mad Hatters Tea'

hosted by lovely Vanessa from
A Fanciful Twist

This special tea party is imaginary bliss!

Fun, whimsy, and a whole lot more,
will be shared at her party.
That's for sure!

Come along my friends, magic awaits. . .
just inside my garden gate.

Pretty purple teacups adorned with flowers and lace,
let's you know that this is the place.

Purple is the color I've chosen for whimsical fun.
I'm so glad the party has begun!

Grab your hat, don't delay!

The white rabbit is on his way.

Oh look, he brought along some friends to play.

Bunnies with flowers around their neck.
So cute that you just want to give them a peck!

The birdbath is filled with daisies so white,
My, how they bring me such delight!

Mr. turtle is quite slow. . .
but even he knows where to go.

Freddy the frog is jumping for joy, can't you see?
He's as excited as he can be!

Up on the hill in a wooded glen.
That's where you'll go if you want to attend.

(this area was filled with Larkspur, but it just finished blooming so I pulled it all out)

In Wonderland, everyone knows that fairies reside,
they're not often seen; because they love
 to hide!

Mushrooms are growing, but oh not too fast.
We want this fun tea party to last!

In this Wonderland not all doors are small,
in fact. . .
some may be very tall.

What kind of a tea would it be, without pretty flowers for you and for me?

If you ask me, petals on the table isn't considered a mess.

They just add a fun touch more or less!

Sun tea brewed by my hubby so dear,
is a favorite of mine. . .
this time of year.

Strawberry filled twinkies with cream on top,
become the tea time treat when that's all you've got.  :)

Hollyhocks reach high into the sky.
Each time I see them they make me sigh!

The garden is filled with creatures large and small,
In Wonderland we love them all!
(except for the snakes)

(look closely, there's a bumble inside)

Things are often topsy turvy in Wonderland I do believe,
but it's so much fun you'll never want to leave!

But bid you adieu, I'm afraid I must.  We've been here so long and you might
start to cuss!  lol!

(hey, a girl does what she must to rhyme!)

hugs,
Jann

I am also sharing with these lovely parties:

I had so much fun last year joining The Mad Tea Party, but just couldn't fit it in this year.

Now you have me thinking of ideas for next year.

lovely mad tea. i love the way the daisies look in your bird bath and think I may do a bit of the same. It's so pretty. And, your little ladybug is so cute. I love ladybugs, though I know some find them a nuisance.

Oh Jann, your little rhymed cracked me up! I love your pretty table. The Twinkies look adorable all dressed up. That's a great idea that I just may have to steal. :) I'm especially interested in the "cake". It looks like you've dyed something in tea and made a cake with it? Fill me in! Your party was lovely...and I refrained from cussing...so thank you. :) {Come visit mine too!}

Lots of love!

OH MY! Your Hollyhocks are just breathtaking. I haven't had any success with mine here in Zone 10 and it has broke my heart. I've enjoyed being a part of your tea party. :)

When you get a chance, please stop by my LJ and join in on the "Wonderland After Dark" fun. Sure, it's a bit DARK but that's the way I like things and there's a lot of love and friendship thrown in there, too.

Just made my day, you adorable lady. This post has got to be the cutest thing ever and so creative. I could actually hear your sweet and fun voice as I read through the poem and felt as if I were seated right in that chair. Thank you, my friend for inviting me to tea this afternoon, I had a wonderful time.

Hollyhocks make me sigh too! I used to make hollyhock dolls with my grandmother when I was a child. That was a long time ago. Your table is enchanting. I love the purple touches. Sun tea, how appropriate for this time of year. I enjoyed your party thoroughly.

The kettle's still on at my party if you want to take a peek:
