Must Be Santa. . .

Who's got a beard
That's long and white?

Santa's got a beard
That's long and white

(I painted the bellow Santa years ago)

Who comes around
On a special night?

(the artwork, the stackers, and the Santa with tree were all gifts through the years)

Santa comes around
On a special night

(This vintage Santa is one of my favorites.  More of an elf than Santa.  A friend gifted him to me a long time ago)

Beard that's white
Special night,
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus

Who wears boots
And a suit of red?

(Mr. and Mrs. were gifted to me by the same friend that gave me the Santa with hearts in the first photo)

Santa wears boots
And a suit of red

Who wears a long cap
On his head?

(I tried 4 times to get a clear photo of this guy.  For some reason I could not get it to focus.  :(  I left it small so that it didn't hurt your eyes.  lol!  I bought this noise maker in Oregon.  Isn't it so sweet?)

Santa wears a long cap
On his head

Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus

Who's got a big red
Cherry nose?

(notice the cherry nose on the little guy in the corner?)

Ho, ho, ho
Cherry nose
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white

(two more Santa's that I painted back in the days when I taught tole painting)

Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus

(I spied this at a thrift shop.  Just knowing that it was handmade made me want to bring it home!)

Dasher, Dancer
Prancer, Vixen
Comet, Cupid
Donner
And Blitzen
Reindeer sleigh
Come our way

(Santa and sleigh was gifted to me by my sweet cousin.  It was once my Aunt Viola's)  Another one of my favorites!!

Ho, ho, ho
Cherry nose
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white

(I've housed them in my green cabinet made from an old window.  It usually holds my ruby red dish collection)

Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus

I use to have many more Santas.  I left a large tote at my sons house when we moved and they are now enjoying them.  They ran across it one year and asked if they could put them out.  Fine with me, I have to start down sizing some day!!  I enjoy them when I visit their home.  I haven't put my soft Santa's out yet.  Thinking of adding them to one of the guest bedrooms.

Who doesn't love Santa?

hugs,
Jann

That's one of my favorite songs on my Raffi Christmas album. My family hated it so much that they literally threw away my cassette tape. Fortunately I found the album on iTunes and I can listen to my heart's content.

I love, love, love all your Santa's.

Cute post, Jann! I've always loved that song, so now I suspect I will be singing it for days. '-)
It's always fun to see the Santa figures that live among other's decorations. I have a slew of my own here at Hyacinths. I've given some away to my nieces through the years, but yet more seem to follow me home from time to time. Just last weekend I spied a group of small plastic ones from the 1950s in a favorite antique shop. They are now gathered in my Courtly Check gravy boat. Fun collection!

Dear Sweet Jann, what a marvelous collection and what fun to have them all displayed at Christmas. I am sure your guest spend joyful time looking them over. That noise maker is wonderful; I remember them from my childhood. Thanks for sharing :)

What a really great collection! Everything is so darned cute and yes, everyone loves Santa! I love that it's diverse -- flat art, carved, toys, even the needlepoint Santa! Someone clearly knows what to get you for Christmas!

You've got a wonderful collection of jolly old elves housed in your fabulous window cupboard, Jann! It's nice that you've shared part of your collection with family that can enjoy them, too. I'll be singing that song all day!

Love the Santa displays. I have quite a few Santa's I would display on my mantle when I had one. Now need to do inside a display cabinet.

Love your Santas, Jann..AND your prose! I used to have a large Santa collection, too, and gave it to my kids a couple of years ago. I kept a few special ones but let the kids enjoy the rest of them. xo Diana

Some fun little guys here. I love the different types of Santas and the green cabinet is a perfect place to showcase them. We have scaled back this year, just because of energy. We are pooped from the all house redo---but, slowly I think it will sprinkle back in. Grins, have a Merry Christmas...with all your Santas, they just make me smile. Said
